My Mac displays a white screen when running credit cards or printing receipts. What do I do?

In short, your browser needs to be updated to a supported version or browser.

If you are experiencing a problem when printing receipts or running credit cards, then your Java preferences may have changed during a Mac update. In some cases you may see a white screen when a credit card is swiped or when you attempt to print a receipt. 

Before you check your computers Java preferences, make sure your popup blocker has been turned off and that you are using the latest version of your internet browser:

To fix Java:

  1. Open the Applications folder on your Mac.

  2. Select the Utilities folder.

  3. Open Java Preferences.

  4. Place a checkmark next to "Enable applet plug-in and Web Start applications."java_4.png
  5. Exit the Java Preferences window.
  6. Restart your browser.
