In short, your browser needs to be updated to a supported version or browser.
If you are experiencing a problem when printing receipts or running credit cards, then your Java preferences may have changed during a Mac update. In some cases you may see a white screen when a credit card is swiped or when you attempt to print a receipt.
Before you check your computers Java preferences, make sure your popup blocker has been turned off and that you are using the latest version of your internet browser:
To fix Java:
- Open the Applications folder on your Mac.
- Select the Utilities folder.
- Open Java Preferences.
- Place a checkmark next to "Enable applet plug-in and Web Start applications."
- Exit the Java Preferences window.
- Restart your browser.
