Receipts aren't printing from my Mac (OSX Lion). What do I do?

Apple's new security update has turned off the Java applet that runs the Receipts - Print Automatically feature. The following article will walk you through how to enable the Java applet on Safari, Firefox, and Chrome browsers. Keep in mind that the following information is only relevant if you have the Receipts—Print Automatically feature enabled in your system.

To check whether you have this feature enabled, hit the Home tab and select Manager Tools from the submenu. Click on Settings and then select General Setup & Options under General Settings.

Click to expand the Retail Settings section, and scroll down to "Receipts - Print Automatically" to see if it is enabled.

If it's enabled, read on to learn how to enable the Java applet.

 

Safari

  1. Open your MINDBODY site in a Safari browser window.
  2. Go to the Retail tab.
  3. You'll notice text at the top left stating: "Inactive Plug-in." Click the arrow to the right of "Inactive Plug-in."
  4. A popup window will display, requesting that you enable the Java plug-in. Select Enable
  5. Close your browser window and then reopen your site.
  6. Return to the Retail tab.
  7. A popup window will display stating that an applet needs access to your computer. Select Allow.
If you do not see the second popup window, then go to Preferences.
  1. Select Security.
  2. Tick the checkbox next to "Enable plug-ins."
  3. Close the popup window.

 

Firefox

  1. Open your MINDBODY site in a Firefox browser window.
  2. Go to the Retail tab.
  3. The "Java for Apple" page will display.
  4. Go to your Tools menu and select Add-ons.
  5. Select Plugins from the left side of the screen.
  6. Select Enable to the right of "Java Applet Plug-in."
  7. Close the browser window and then reopen your site.
  8. Return to the Retail tab.
  9. A popup window will display stating that an applet needs access to your computer. Select Allow.

 

Chrome

  1. Open your MINDBODY site in a Chrome browser window. 
  2. Go to the Retail tab.
  3. The "Java for Apple" page will display.
  4. Go to Chrome menu and select Preferences.
  5. Select Under the Hood, then Content Settings.
  6. Scroll down until you see "Plug-ins," and then select Disabled individual plug-ins...
  7. Locate "Java plug-in" from the list and select Enable.
  8. Close the browser window and then reopen your site.
  9. Return to the Retail tab.
  10. Refresh your browser window. Chrome will ask you to confirm the refresh request. Select Confirm.
  11. A popup window will display stating that an applet needs access to your computer. Select Allow.
