To fix an issue with receipt text printing too small, please select your operating system:

PC

Check the receipt message

The issue was caused by trying to create a signature line with dashes (----) or underscores (_____) within your custom receipt message. Dashes or underscores will force the receipt to print a very small text in Internet Explorer due to IE 7's shrink-to-fit feature.

To fix this:

  1. Log in as the owner.
  2. Click on the Home tab and select Manager Tools from the submenu.
  3. Click on Settings and then General Setup & Options.
  4. On the General Setup & Options page, click to expand the Retail Settings section.
  5. Delete all dashes or underscores in Receipt Message Line 1 and Receipt Message Line 2.
  6. Click Update.

You will not need to add an extra line of dashes or underscores on your receipt. The system will automatically print a signature line for your credit card sales receipts.

Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger)

To change the page setup settings:

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Select File > Page Setup. The Safari Page Setup settings are displayed.
  3. Set "Format for" to TSP600 (STR_T-U001).
  4. Set the Paper Size to 72mm x 200mm. This paper size will suffice for most sales made. If you make many line item sales at once, consider changing the paper size to something greater than 72mm x 200mm.

  6. Check to make sure that shrink to fit is enables on the Page Setup screen too.

Mac OS 10.5+ (Leopard, Snow Leopard)

Every time you print a receipt, please remember to change the paper size to 72mm x 200mm. This will prevent the text from printing too small.
